This 77mm and 82mm to 114mm Threaded SIM Ring is designed for use with matte boxes with a 114mm opening. 
 
The adapter allows you to mount your clamp-on matte box closer to the front of your lens, reducing the possibility of vignetting with wide lenses. However, its design precludes using it to mount filters on your lens.
 
  • Mounts on lenses with 77mm and 82mm filter thread--or our SIMRINGS.
  • The 114mm diameter clamping surface projects towards the camera, allowing your clamp-on matte box to be closer to your lens for maximum image clearance
  • Made from anodized aluminum
